Hansen Auto OÜ used car warranty terms
All vehicles sold to a customer from the Hansen Auto OÜ used car showroom are covered by a three-month Hansen Auto OÜ warranty* against hidden faults and defects, starting from the date of signing the sales contract. The Hansen Auto OÜ warranty applies to vehicles that, at the time of sale, are up to seven years old and have less than 200,000 km on the odometer. After a fault or defect appears, the seller must be notified without delay and an appointment arranged for inspecting the vehicle at a workshop authorised by Hansen Auto OÜ. The Hansen Auto OÜ warranty is valid only in the Republic of Estonia.
The warranty covers:
Repair or replacement of parts deemed defective. Work covered by the Hansen Auto OÜ warranty must be carried out at a workshop authorised by Hansen Auto OÜ. If a warranty claim is approved, the defective parts become the property of Hansen Auto OÜ. Replacement or repair of spare parts does not extend the vehicle warranty or the warranty of the replaced parts. The vehicle is considered technically sound if it passes the requirements of the official technical inspection.
*The warranty does not cover:
- Cases where:
- low-quality fuel is used (including non-compliant biofuel) or additives are used as fuel additives causing fuel-system failures
- the vehicle is used as a rental, taxi or patrol car
- indirect costs arising from a warranty case (car rental, hotel, etc.)
- the vehicle is used in competitions or for racing
- repair and maintenance work has been carried out in a workshop not authorised by Hansen Auto OÜ.
- Regular inspection and maintenance. The warranty does not extend to maintenance consumables, parts subject to natural wear and tear, or cleaning and adjustment work.
The following parts are considered consumables:
- filters (including FAP diesel particulate filter), batteries, fluids, spark plugs, auxiliary belts
- exhaust system (including lambda sensors, NOx sensors)
- light bulbs, brake pads, brake discs and brake drums
- shock absorbers
- wheel bearings, tie-rod ends and all ball joints.
- Cases where the vehicle has been used improperly, in case of mistakes or negligence.
Consequences of fitting spare parts that do not carry the vehicle manufacturer’s approval.
Consequences of repairs, modifications or other work carried out by companies not approved by the vehicle manufacturer (including refrigeration units, gas equipment, electrical and electronic equipment, isothermal conversions, etc.)
- Damage caused by natural forces or traffic accidents.
- Consignment-sale vehicles.
- Vehicles compensated by insurance.
